The conical leaf hat is one of the typical symbols of the Vietnamese culture because it cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The leaf hat is not only a symbol of Vietnamese girls and women, but also has become a part of spirit of the Vietnamese nation

The hat is made from a special kind of bamboo and young, soft palm leaves. It has a conical form. The diameter of the hat is from 45 to 50 cm and it is from 25 to 30 cm high. The form is covered with the palm leaves. Finally, the hat is painted with a coat of attar oil

The leaf hat is used like an umbrella to protect people from the sun or the rain. Beneath the broad rims of the leaf hat, girls and women look prettier and more attractive

Chiếc nón lá là một trong những biểu tượng đặc biệt của nền văn hóa Việt Nam bởi vì nó không thể tìm thấy bất kì nơi nào khác trên thế giới này. Chiếc nón lá không những là biểu tượng cảu người con gái và phụ nữ Việt Nam mà nó còn trở thành một phần của đời sống tinh thần của đất nước Việt Nam

Nón được làm từ một loại tre đặc biệt và lá cọ mềm và non. Nó có dạng hình nón. Đường kính của nón dài từ 45 đến 50 cm và cao từ 25 đến 30 cm. Bề ngoài được phủ bằng lá cọ. Cuối cùng chiếc nón được sơn bằng một lớp tinh dầu

Nón lá được sử dụng để bảo vệ khỏi ánh nắng hoặc mưa giống như chiếc dù vậy. Dưới viền rộng của nón lá các cô gái và phụ nữ Việt Nam trông quyến rũ và duyên dáng hơn
