+ So sánh hơn là khi chúng ta so sánh cái này hơn cái kia, ví dụ như tốt hơn, hay hơn, đẹp hơn.

Cấu trúc: 

• Nếu từ chỉ có 1 âm tiết: adj + đuôi -er + than. Ex: Nam is shorter than me. (Nam thấp hơn tôi.)
• Nếu từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên: more + adj + than. Ex: This coat is more expensive than that one (Cái áo khoác này đắt hơn cái kia)​
