Have you ever seen a forest destroyed by fire? A great forest fire is an awful thing to see. Once a fire has started, it spreads quickly. Foresters say that late summer is the season when fire is the greatest danger to woods and foresters.

They are very dry then. Sometimes when the danger of fire is very great, foresters will not allow anyone to go into the forests.

If people leave a campfire burning near a heap of leaves, this often causes a forest fire. Campers must always remember to put out their campfire and cover the place with earth. It is the duty of every camper to take the greatest care not to start a forest fire.

Anyone careless enough to start a forest fire has done something, which makes life more difficult for all of US. Every fire destroys valuable wood, wild life, and good soil. Everyone of US must know how important it is to care for our great forests and save them from fire.

Bạn đã bao giờ chứng kiến lửa phá hủy một khu rừng? Thật khủng khiếp để phải xem cảnh tượng đó. Nó sẽ lan nhanh chóng một khi bắt đầu cháy. Nhân viên quản lí rừng cho biết cháy rừng thường diễn ra vào cuối mùa hè, là hiểm họa lớn nhất đối với gỗ và lính kiểm lâm.

Bất cứ ai bất cẩn cũng đủ gây nên đám cháy rừng, làm cho cuộc sống trở nên khó khăn hơn cho hầu hết người Mỹ. Mỗi ngọn lửa phá hủy gỗ quý, cuộc sống hoang dã và đất canh tác tốt. Mọi người dân Hoa Kỳ đều phải biết tầm quan trọng của việc chăm sóc rừng và tránh những cơn hỏa hoạn.

A forest fire can start with a small burning cigarctte butt, or with a burning camp-fire near a heap of dry leaves or grass. Sometimes a lightning can cause a forest, too.

Every camper ought to remember to put out the camp-fire before he leaves the place by covering it with earth. And another thing they should keep in their mind is they should not make a camp-fire near heaps of dead leaves or grass, especially in the very dry weather.
